It's easy to get lost in the world nowadays. We constantly thrive to perform better, look better, work more, do more, ...more, more, more.
We will get to a point where we finally decide to take our health into our own hands. Often, it leads us to a new workout routine. We'll stick with it for a bit, maybe even see results, but somehow we don't feel fulfilled.
Our bodies are tired, exhausted, and aching. Then, you receive a challenging work email and your anxiety goes through the roof. At the end of the day you come home, cook, do the laundry, take care of your kids, and kiss your significant other goodnight. There are vicious cycles in our everyday lives that lead to chronic pain, inflammation, and stress.
It's not normal to be tired all the time, inflamed, in pain, or overwhelmed. There is a lack in our education around what it really means to be healthy. And, most people are never taught the importance of taking care of ourselves and why to pursue a healthy lifestyle. Not just a new workout routine, but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being that is achieved by small daily habits.
Life will not stop throwing stressors and challenges our way. It is up to us to learn how to handle them and find our inner peace. The next time that work email comes through, you've learned a breathing pattern that will allow you to answer in an emotionally-sober state.
Because YOU are taking care of yourself you will feel truly happy & fulfilled, your business will thrive, your family will feel so loved, and you will shine your positive vibrations to your surroundings attracting other positive outcomes.
That is why I so passionately try to encourage and support you to implement healthy habits into your every day life - to make the most out of it.
Here's something to work on!
Try focusing on adding 1 healthy habit per week. Do your best and remember it's about your overall consistency.
Here are a couple things that I practice and encourage:
See a Chiropractor regularly.
Eat balanced meals based on whole foods and prepare most meals ahead of time.
Sleep 7-8 hours every single night.
Meditate at least 10 minutes per day.
Read or listen to books about self improvement and topics that interest you.
Use the 'box breathing' technique to calm your mind.
Exercise 3-5 days per week and move daily.
Eat snacks that nourish you.
Take naps when your body is asking for it.
Drink half a gallon to a gallon of water every day.
The list goes on and on and I surely didn't wake up and start doing everything at the same time. Instead, I practiced one habit and slowly added on to the routine - and I still have more to learn.
There will always be ups & downs but it's up to you how you react and handle different phases of your life.
Be Healthy, Be Happy, and Be Well! The time & effort is so worth it.
